The Motor City Entertainment Story: Built on Passion and Community

A Legacy Beginning in 2004

Motor City Entertainment (MCE) was born from a simple vision shared by brothers Matt and Jerry Megge: to cultivate a community around the sport they loved. Starting with just two dart boards at The Rusty Nail in Clinton Township, they built an environment where players of every skill level felt at home.

Evolution and Growth

In 2016, the team expanded with the addition of Brian Henry. His innovative strategies and industry foresight propelled Motor City Darts into Waterford and key venues across Metro Detroit, sparking a vibrant, diverse darting culture that continues to thrive today.

Honoring a Vision

The sudden loss of Jerry in 2018 was a profound moment for the MCE family. However, this heartbreak only strengthened Matt and Brian’s resolve to protect and grow the legacy Jerry helped build. Every expansion since has been a tribute to his memory and his love for the game.

A Modern Powerhouse

The family grew again in February 2021 with the addition of Alan Rude, whose expertise has been instrumental in further elevating the sport across Michigan. Today, MCE is a staple of the local community, operating 100 dart boards across 20 premier locations.

More Than Just a Game

MCE is the heartbeat of regional competitive play, managing over 70 active leagues, including local Motor City inhouse leagues and PPD remote online leagues. Our impact extends beyond the scoreboard through:

  • Annual Tournaments & Luck of the Draws: Providing year-round competitive opportunities.

  • Charity Fundraisers: Supporting local initiatives and giving back to the community that supports us.

  • Youth Development: Our winter Youth Dart League is a cornerstone of our mission, nurturing the next generation of talent and fostering a true sense of belonging.

  • Full-Service Entertainment: We enhance the venue experience with jukebox and ATM services, ensuring every night at an MCE location is a complete social experience.

We offer ATMs, Jukebox and DartBoard services. Contact us now to discuss options to add any or all of this equipment to your establishment.
